Stuart E. Palmer (ΦBK, University of Illinois, 1976) and his daughter Beth E. Palmer (ΦBK, Washington University in St. Louis, 2013). Mr. Palmer writes, “I was elected to Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 1976. I went on to receive my law degree at Northwestern University, and I am now a Justice of the Illinois Appellate Court. I was absolutely thrilled and extremely proud when my daughter called to inform me that she had been elected to Phi Beta Kappa at Washington University in St. Louis earlier this year. Beth has since graduated from Wash U. She is currently working as an intern for an Illinois congressman and is applying to law school for the fall 2014 school year.”
