Christina Schwartz (ФВК, University of Chicago, 2011), Shigeyo Jane Nakamura (ФВК, University of California, Berkeley, 1948), and Mary Nakamura (ФВК, Swarthmore College, 1981). Not one of them, however, stopped at Phi Beta Kappa! Christina Schwartz has earned two MAs, from the University of Chicago (2011) and the University of California, Berkeley (2014); she is currently pursing her PhD at Berkeley. Shigeyo Jane Nakamura also has an MA from the University of California, Berkeley (1949) and an MD from Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania (1953). Mary Nakamura took up the family tradition in medicine and went on to earn her MD from Yale University (1986).
